Representations

The  majority of our applications are processed without the need for any kind of hearing. This is because we understand what appropriate steps are needed to be taken for your application to be granted.

In the event that a Responsible Authority (For example,  Environmental Health, The Police or the Local Authority) do object to your application, then we will be there to represent you at any Licensing Hearing for an additional fee, which is at a fraction of the price of a solicitor. These hearings are relatively rare
.

Premises License Reviews

Sometimes things may go wrong.  Responsible Authorities or other ‘interested parties’
(such as your neighbours) may call for something called a Licensed Premises Review.  Effectively these interested parties wish to severely restrict your operation or in the worst possible circumstances even stop it completely by having your Premises License Revoked .

It is essential that you understand that the situation will not  just go away, and you will have to appear in front of a licensing sub-committee within about a month.
We will, if instructed by you to act on your behalf, contact the Licensing Authority as well as other parties to negotiate a resolution. We will prepare a defence as well as represent you at the forthcoming licensing hearing if it is required.

We  will always provide an honest and free appraisal, and always promise to act in your best interests to keep your premises operating whilst remaining compliant with licensing law.
